Restoring Natural Beauty with a Custom Zirconia Bridge at Ora Dental

This case highlights a smile refinement for a patient who came to us with an existing Ceramage bridge that had begun to show signs of wear, discoloration, and an overly bulky appearance. While the restoration had served its purpose, its shape and appearance no longer complemented the patient's natural features.
Our goal was not to create a dramatically different smile, but to create one that felt softer, lighter, and more naturally integrated.
Initial Presentation and Challenges
Upon evaluation, the existing Ceramage bridge showed several concerns:
Visible discoloration and staining from years of use
Signs of wear and aging
A bulky silhouette that affected the overall appearance of the smile
Tooth contours that no longer complemented the patient's facial features

Rather than simply replacing the bridge with another restoration of similar proportions, we looked at the smile as a whole.
The Journey to a More Natural Smile
The existing Ceramage bridge was carefully evaluated and removed to allow us to reassess the underlying teeth, available space, and overall smile proportions.
For the new restoration, we selected zirconia because of its combination of durability, stain resistance, and highly aesthetic potential. Modern zirconia restorations can be designed with lifelike translucency and light reflection, allowing them to blend more naturally with the surrounding teeth.
But the material was only part of the transformation.
The real difference came from the design and contours.
Instead of reproducing the previous bulky shape, we carefully refined the proportions of the bridge to create a lighter and more delicate appearance. The contours were adjusted to better follow the natural flow of the patient's smile.
Particular attention was given to the canines, which were carefully thinned and reshaped to soften the overall transition between the front teeth and the rest of the smile.
This subtle adjustment helped create a softer, more harmonious smile line without making the teeth appear overly uniform or artificial.

The result was a zirconia bridge that better complemented the patient's natural smile. The new restoration provided:
