A Smile Redesign for Miss Universe Philippines 2025 Top 12 Finalist Juliana Fresado
By: Dr. Francis Villaroman

This case features Juliana Fresado, a top 12 finalist in the Miss Universe Philippines 2025 pageantry.
Despite her stunning stage presence, Juliana came to us wanting to completely refresh her look. Her old composite veneers had become discolored over time and felt overly long, which physically restricted her upper and lower lip opening. Her goal was clear: she wanted to transition to a more proportionate, comfortable, and natural-looking smile that would beautifully complement her facial features.
Initial Presentation and Considerations
The primary concern was the outdated composite veneers, which had lost their luster and appeared artificially long, throwing off the natural balance of Juliana's smile and limiting her lip movement. Additionally, during the assessment, we discovered a tooth with an active infection that required immediate attention.

The Treatment Approach
We began by prioritizing Juliana's dental health, performing a precise root canal treatment on the infected tooth to create a healthy, stable foundation.
Once the health of her smile was secured, we transitioned to the cosmetic redesign. We replaced the old, bulky composite material with high-quality EMax crowns and veneers. To fix the restriction on her lip opening, we meticulously shortened the length of the incisors. This adjustment restored optimal functionality and brought the teeth into perfect proportion with her face.

The Outcome
The entire transformation was completed with precision, resulting in a smile that is:
Proportionate and Comfortable: Shortened incisors allowed for natural, unrestricted lip movement.
Healthy and Flawless: The underlying infection was resolved, paired with a seamless blend of EMax crowns and veneers.
Effortlessly Pageant-Ready: A breath of fresh air that looks as if it were her natural teeth all along.
Most importantly, the result reflects who she is. Nothing looks overdone. Everything simply feels right.
Final Thoughts
Creating a beautiful smile is not about chasing the brightest shade or the most dramatic shape. It is about finding the perfect balance between color, form, functionality, and individuality.
